PLEASE NOTE, ALL NEW BOOKINGS ARE FULLY FLEXIBLE AND IF YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PLANS DUE TO CORONAVIRUS, WE ARE HAPPY TO MOVE YOUR BOOKING FREE OF CHARGE OR REFUND ANY DEPOSIT YOU MAY HAVE PAID.
WE ARE TAKING BOOKINGS NOW FOR MONDAY 17th MAY ONWARDS, ACCORDING TO THE GOVERNMENT'S ROADMAP OUT OF LOCKDOWN.

The world has changed during the COVID-19 pandemic, but at The Hill BnB we are keeping things as welcoming and relaxed as possible for our guests. We have fully met the official UK “Good to Go” Industry Standard, which requires robust processes for cleanliness and social distancing to make your stay as safe as possible. As a result, we have changed many of our daily practices and services to minimize the risk of contracting and spreading coronavirus.

One of the measures we have used to help stop the spread of Covid 19 is to treat all rooms and shared areas within The Hill BnB with ElectroClean, electrostatic sanitation to provide deep cleaning that kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria with lasting effects of up to 28 days.

The B and B rooms will be left vacant for a period of 24 hours between different guests to limit the potential presence of the virus on the surfaces, and to allow us to intensively clean the rooms. No guest glassware, crockery or cutlery is hand washed - it all goes through the dishwasher. All linen is professionally laundered.

When you walk in the shared areas of our home where the chances of contact with other guests and ourselves are increased, we ask you to wear a face mask and respect social distancing. If you see someone on the landing, hallway or stairs, please stand back whilst they pass. This can be done by going back into your bedroom or standing momentarily in the dining room or guest lounge. We would suggest you allow priority to those coming up the stairs.

Pure Lakes Hand Sanitizer will be available on the hall table downstairs and on the landing table upstairs. We encourage you to use it when walking through shared areas of our home. Pure Lakes handwash is available in all our en-suites.

Check in: We will send a welcome email prior to the start of your stay giving all your arrival information, an electronic registration form, a virtual guest information folder and a code for the keyless smart door lock. If you do arrive at the same time as another guest, please wait in the car or on our sun terrace until they have moved away, to allow social distancing. Likewise, if you arrive at the front door (which is glass) and see someone is already in the hallway, please wait until they have moved on.

Check out: The payment for your stay will be made remotely, the invoice will be automatically sent by email the day before your departure giving you directions for making payment. Before you check out, please open all your windows for ventilation, and leave out the hair dryer or anything else you have used during your stay to allow us to sanitise them. Leave the key fob in the door.

We are sorry we can’t offer our usual award-winning breakfast served in our lovely dining room during your stay with us. However, we are delighted to provide our picnic style breakfast in a pretty wicker basket, which will be delivered to your room. This gives lots of hot and cold food choices, allowing you to have breakfast when and where you want. There will be an order form in your room which you can complete the night before or you may order at any time via our online order form. Breakfast Baskets are prepared here in our own kitchen and only by ourselves. We have no employees or people entering our kitchen from outside.

During this period of distancing precautions, we will not perform full room service during your stay. However, we will enter your room, taking necessary precautions, to top up items on the hot drinks welcome tray, empty the waste bins and clear away breakfast items. Fresh towels and other supplies will be available on request.

Finally, we ask that as a guest at The Hill BnB you commit to:

1. Taking responsibility to ensure that all guests in your party are complying with government guidance and regulations on travel and staying overnight for the area they live in.
2. Contacting us, if unfortunately, you have any Covid-19 symptoms, or are required to self-isolate, or are a resident of an area subject to any local “lockdown” restrictions. Allowing us to reschedule your stay or refund any deposit paid.
3. Providing all relevant contact details prior to arrival.
4. Washing your hands or using hand sanitiser when entering and leaving The Hill BnB.
5. Wearing face masks in all communal areas.
6. Keep at least the required socially distant space between yourself and other people who are not from your household.

If any of our guests shows non-compliance with our policies and government directives, they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, the full stay will be charged.

Any guests displaying symptoms consistent with Covid-19 will be requested to seek medical attention. Should you be advised to self-isolate, we will request that you check out immediately and return home. If you are unable to return home, you will be required to pay any additional costs that are incurred.

Despite the necessary rules and restrictions, we want to assure you that we will continue to offer you our best service and we will continue to do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

We thank you for understanding and your cooperation. We are really looking forward to welcoming guests back to our home.
