**COVID-19 GUEST INFORMATION**

Things are a little different from pre Covid days, with contactless check in, digital registration and online payments. It’s been a bit of a challenge adapting to a new way of doing B and B, but at The Hill BnB we are keeping things as welcoming and relaxed as possible for our guests.

The UK Government announced an easing of covid measures from 19th July 2021, however, due to the rapidly increasing rates of infection, increasing numbers of people having to self-isolate, along with lots of guest feedback; we have decided to keep most of our current measures in place, to help control the spread of Covid-19, to protect ourselves and our guests. It will remain a legal requirement for people to self-isolate if they test positive or are told to do so by NHS Test and Trace. For us that would mean closing the business and cancelling much needed holidays for our guests. We are adopting a considered and cautious approach to the lifting of restrictions and as The Hill is our home as well as our business; we will be wearing masks, hand sanitising and social distancing, where possible. We would be grateful if you did too, but obviously we can’t enforce it.

We are delighted that we will now be able to offer breakfast, served in our lovely dining room during your stay with us. We will continue to serve our picnic style breakfast delivered to your room for those guests who prefer breakfast in a more relaxed way, or for those who remain anxious about mixing with others.

The guest bedrooms will be left vacant for a period of 24 hours between guests to limit the potential presence of the virus on the surfaces, and to allow us to intensively clean the rooms. We will be focusing our attention on the cleaning of all hand contact surfaces. Room keys will be sanitised in-between each stay. We will ask you to keep your keys with you throughout your stay. No guest glassware, crockery or cutlery is hand washed - it all goes through the dishwasher. All linen is professionally laundered. We will not perform full room service during your stay. However, we will enter your room, taking necessary precautions, to top up items on the hot drinks welcome tray, empty the waste bins and clear away breakfast items. Fresh towels and other supplies will be available on request. One of the measures we have used to help stop the spread of Covid 19 is to treat all rooms and shared areas within The Hill BnB with ElectroClean, electrostatic sanitation to provide deep cleaning that kills 99.99% of viruses and bacteria with lasting effects of up to 28 days.

Check in: We will send a welcome email prior to the start of your stay giving all your arrival information, an electronic registration form, a virtual guest information folder and a code for the keyless smart door lock.

Check out: The payment for your stay will be made remotely, the invoice will be sent by email before your arrival giving you directions for making payment anytime before you leave. Before you check out, please open all your windows for ventilation, and leave out the hair dryer or anything else you have used during your stay to allow us to sanitise them. Leave the key fob in the door and the door unlocked.
