Guest Lounge
The comfortable furniture offers a great space for relaxing, reading or planning the next day’s activities. There is a bookcase containing a variety of games, books, Lake District travel guides and maps for guest’s use. We have a flat screen LCD TV with a Now TV box for guest’s viewing.
Gardens
With its beautiful garden and magnificent yew topiary, featured in “English Topiary Gardens” by Ethane Clarke and George Wright, garden lovers will feel at home at The Hill.
Discover the garden – enter through a Victorian decorative metal gateway, stroll through pathways, to find magnificent yew topiary, box hedging, old fashioned scented roses, herbaceous boarders.
Sit and relax on the parterre with a book and a drink, or watch the variety of birdlife the garden attracts. There are three seating areas in the front garden and a Summerhouse providing shelter on cooler days or shade on sunnier days.
